Granville Walton (1888-?) nait en Angleterre d'une famille de militaires.

A partir du début années 20 il fut secrétaire à l'organisation des scouts britanniques puis au Q.G Impérial il fut chargé des mouvements scouts d'outremer et, étant amené à prendre des contacts avec les gouvernements, il voyagea très souvent.

Il ensuite Chef Scout Assistant. En 1955 il reçut le Loup de bronze.

The Boy Scouts Association encouraged its branches to seek control of the Scout Movement by obtaining statutory monopolies from respective local governments. This was the major purpose of the visits by Overseas Commissioners Walton and Alfred Pickford in the 1920s and 1930s.
