De Scoutopedia

I saw the new file - Jamborette-1953.jpg - and got curious. Apparently the jamborette took place in Denmark in 1952. My overview is not complete, but I have no jamborette listed in 1952. Where was it? Perhaps I can find more info among my scoutfriends? The only hint I can get from the text is the place Tranekær, which is a place on a smaller Island in Denmark. I have never heard of a jamborette there. I have collected this info: da:Liste_over_jamboretter_i_danske_spejderkorps

I can see that the pic is cropped and some danish text is left out. I can give a translation in at least english if is relevant. Best wishes --Jørgen (discussion) 5 janvier 2022 à 22:59 (CET)

Hello Jørgen!
From what I can read in the picture, the French text is the following:
If I get it correctly, they went to a jamboree in Tranekær at the invitation of the "Waldemar division". Could this correspond to this event "1953 Valdemar Sejr Division holdt Tranekær-lejren Jamborette 2-9 august" in your list? In that case,
Yours in scouting,

Hmmm, don't do wikis while tired ;-). I will try to contact our jamborette-specialist from the museum-gang to find informations about that camp to mutual benefit.

Very nice, I have asked in a danish scouting history-group on Facebook about the camp. I have translated the danish text:
Lower left column is a translation of the top text.
Right column is what to be expected in a camp newspaper:
MUNGO (patrollname?) succeeded again last night with their funny skit. We would have liked to hear them play their guitars.
PHOTOS. Remember to order the Photos. There are new sheets in the folder in the office.
(The same in brief english and german).
WALKS BY NIGHT tonight will require a flashlight due to the dark august nights. Flashlights are available in the shop.
SAUSAGE (nickname) was happy among all the Bockwursts and felt like dancing. This morning he got lost... (unfinished play with words).
