Granville Walton (1888-?) nait en Angleterre d'une famille de militaires. Il devient lieutrenant-colonel puis prend sa retraite et se consacre au scoutisme.
A partir du début années 20 il fut secrétaire à l'organisation des scouts britanniques puis au Quartier Général Impérial il fut chargé des mouvements scouts d'outremer et, étant amené à prendre des contacts avec les gouvernements, il voyagea très souvent.
Il fut ensuite , aidant ou suppléant BP Chef Scout Mondial Assistant. En 1955 il reçut le Loup de bronze.
